RATIONALE

The ecology is a delicately balanced entity of which we humans are an integral part. Activity of mankind has seriously impacted the ecology. It is important that students know how they, and the rest of mankind, impact the environment in which they live. Mankind has been given a mandate, by the Creator, to take responsibility for the management of the earth’s environment. Due to the ‘fall’ (Genesis 3) and the entering of sin into each individual, greed, selfishness and carelessness have hampered good management of the environment. Mankind depends upon his physical environment for life itself and for quality lifestyle. A knowledge of, respect for, and a commitment to the environment, reflected through good management of the environment, is an imperative for this generation and generations to come.
